    How a play works

    1. Both teams line up on the line of scrimmage. Every player shows an arrow for the way its base will run. Drag a player to move it and drag the tip of its arrow to aim it, whether it carries the ball or not. Offense stays behind the blue line, defense in front of it.
    2. Pick a player on offense and press Hand ball to to put the felt ball in their arms. The ball carrier wears an amber ring.
    3. Press Switch on (or Space). Every base buzzes the way you aimed it, but each runs at its own speed and pulls a little left or right, and bases that meet an opponent lock up and barely creep.
    4. The play ends when a defender's base touches the ball carrier, the carrier leaves the field, stalls for six seconds, or scores. The referee runs to the spot and calls the yardage, and the chain crew moves the sticks on a first down. Close calls get measured.
    5. To pass, give the ball to the QB. While the board runs, press Stop & throw (T), then tap where the felt ball should land. Longer throws scatter more. A defender under it intercepts, and a lineman can't catch it.

Each base has its own speed and tracking, the way the real plastic bases did. Use Bend the prongs to change how a base pulls, the same way you once bent the prongs underneath.
